Ramesh Gupta had a pleasure of working at the Lawrence Berkeley Nationonal Laboratory (LBNL) for about two years (1997-1999). During that period, he helped start the common coil magnet program and played a significant role in the racetrack coil based magnet R&D program, including defining the philosophy of the Sub-scale Magnet series R&D program.
